For over 90 years the Flint Institute of Arts has been growing its collection of 8,500 objects that span from the 15th Century to the Present. The collection has a great depth of important American and European paintings and sculptures. The Flint Children’s Museum was created after a local educator visited a children’s museum in Washington, D.C. in the late 1970’s. The FCM was once housed in the Sloan Museum of the Flint Cultural Center and is now located on the Kettering University campus on University Avenue, close to Chevy Commons Park. It houses numerous interactive educational displays on a variety of subjects. This includes science, the arts, technology, history, etc. Thanks to a vast number of kind donors and volunteers, the museum is growing.
Children from two to ten years old are welcome at the annual field trips and other community events. Even more, the RCM provides a variety of mobile programs that transport displays to nearby classrooms. Birthday parties and other events can be held at rental facilities.

The Flint City Bucks are a professional minor league soccer team that plays in Atwood Stadium. They have played their home games at Atwood Stadium since 2019. Before then, they competed in indoor Ultimate Soccer Arenas.
The Bucks were created in 1995 and were formerly called the Michigan Bucks. The Bucks are an affiliate of the Columbus Crew who play in the MLS. The Bucks have won three national titles in the USL League Two. Go Bucks!

Located near C.S. Mott Lake in northeast Flint, Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad pay homage to the past with a quaint village of painstakingly -reconstructed 19th-century buildings. The plans for the village were based on the Genesee County Atlas of 1873 and buildings from across the region were carefully moved and reconstructed on site. Step back in time by visiting a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, opera house, post office, general store, and much more!
The narrow-gauge Huckleberry Railroad winds through the village and along the shores of Mott Lake powered by a 1920 Baldwin steam locomotive. At the village dock the beautiful paddlewheel riverboat, The Genesee Belle, waits to ferry riders around Mott Lake to take in scenic views and wildlife. Around the village, a collection of vintage amusement rides, including a 1912 carousel, Ferris wheel, pony carts, Venetian swings, and the Mott Lake Flyer will delight young and old alike.
